Donation Proposal of “Medical Education Development Fund for Centennial Anniversary of Xiamen University”
Dear teachers, students, healthcare providers of all affiliated hospitals, alumni at home and abroad, and friends from all walks of life,
The seasons come and go and eventful years fly by.April 6th, 2021 is the 100th anniversary of Xiamen University, coinciding with the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China, spanning two centuries and pursuing its two centenary goals. Over the past 100 years, with the ambition of Tan Kah Kee establishing the university, generations of Xiamen University people have always pursued excellence and strived for perfection in order to be a world-class university with Chinese characteristics.
With great achievements, the 100th anniversary of Xiamen University is on the way, and the School of Medicine will also celebrate its 25th anniversary. Twenty-five years ago, with the strong support of our country, Fujian Province, Xiamen City, and all walks of life at home and abroad, Xiamen City and Xiamen University jointly established the School of Medicine. Over the past 25 years, the school has kept in mind our mission with a constant widening of our founding creed and insisted on cultivating talents in medicine, eliminating human diseases, and improving health with benevolence and perfection pursuit. It has been continuously stepping up in talent training, technological innovation, social service, cultural inheritance, international cooperation and other aspects, and its school-running ability and comprehensive strength have been recognized by peers at home and abroad and individuals from all walks of life. The centennial Xiamen University is in its prime of medical science. At a new historical starting point, all staff of School of Medicine is making great strides towards the goal of building a world-renowned high-level research medical school.
A world-class university must be constructed by individual efforts as the vast ocean is fed by countless drips and tickles. The achievements cannot be separated from your joint efforts, and we sincerely hope that enthusiastic helpers continue to support and help us. We send donation proposals to you all, to gift Xiamen University on its 100th anniversary and the 25th anniversary of School of Medicine “Medical Education Development Fund of Xiamen University”, for constructing our major of Medicine to be a first-class discipline and building our school to be a top college.
